Type of Sentences

1.      Simple Sentence
·         My sister and my brother went to cinema yesterday.
·         Panji laughed and cried simultaneously.
·         He came home and gave me a gift last night.
·         My mother is watching the television now.
·         My friend eats my foods and drinks my drink.
2.      Compound Sentence (With coordinator)
·         (For) I do not like him, for he has bad attitude.
·         (And) I drink a cup of milk, and my twin drinks a cup of coffee.
·         (Nor) we did not study, nor could we did the test.
·         (But) She is so lazy, but she gets good score.
·         (or) You want to stay home, or go to school.
·         (Yet) They like eating, yet they do not become fat.
·         (So)  I did not do my homework, so my parents punished me.
3.      Compound Sentence (With a conjunctive adverb)
·         Dwi always studies and reads a lot of books; therefore, she is so smart.
·         Ira went into the store; however, she didn’t find anything she wanted to buy.
·         His car payments are high; on the other hand, he really enjoys driving such a nice vehicle.
·         He does the homework; I do the homework, too.
·         Most students now have graduation event; for example, my sister goes to attend the graduation event
·         Students must have 80% attendance; othewise, they can not take the test.
4.      Semicolon
·         This is my book; this is not yours.

·         Tria drives a mazda; Dina drives a jazz.
