Singapore

Name of the country is republic of singapore. Singapore is a country which consists of a group of islands. One of the largest island is the island of Singapore. Other islands is about 50 small islands. The astronomical Singapore is located on 1OLU -1,5OLU and 103,5OBT - 104OBT, with an area of  ± 622 km2. Singapore has the following boundaries. West: the Strait of Malacca, south: Indonesia (Riau Islands), north: Malaysia separated by the Straits of Johor, and east: Malaysia be the end of the Malaya Peninsula.

Singapore does not have a harvest, it often imports from other countries. In singapore, you can find a lot of beautiful trees. Soga Tree (Yellow Flame Tree), looks beautiful when in bloom. The flowers are small bright yellow cover the whole crown of the tree and formed a soft carpet of bright when it fell to the ground. Tree flower commonly found in Singapore is the frangipani tree with creamy white flowers or pink. Frangipani tree often seen in Hindu temples or Buddhist, and is also associated with death in Malay culture. According to local tradition, the spirits take refuge in the frangipani trees, and these trees are often planted in the cemetery as well. One of the most magnificent trees in Singapore is Tembusu, which can grow to a height of 40 m. At sunset during the flowering season, the white flowers of Tembusu tree are in bloom and have fragrant. Another tree with fragrance flowers is Champak (Cempaka Wangi), and one of the most common plants in Singapore is bougainvillea (Bougainvillea).

Singapore has about 65 species of mammals, 390 species of birds, 110 species of reptiles, 30 species of amphibians, more than 300 butterfly species, 127 dragonfly species and over 2,000 recorded species of marine wildlife. The Central Catchment Nature Reserve and the nearby Bukit Timah Nature Reserve are the stronghold of the remaining forest animals on the mainland. These enclose the only remnants of primary forest on the island. The former includes four reservoirs (MacRitchie, Upper Peirce, Lower Peirce, Upper Seletar). The northeastern offshore islands of Ubin island and Tekong island are also rich in wildlife. Other areas of note are Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve, Singapore Botanic Gardens, Bukit Batok Nature Park, Pulau Semakau, etc.

Natural resources found in Singapote are fish, and the use of land: arable land 2%, harvested remains 6%, prairie remains 0%, forest 5%, other 87%..

Singapore has become a transit point for illegal trade in wildlife and its body parts from countries in Southeast Asia. However, Singapore can play an important role if the government can control the illegal shipments that enter or exit through the country. Singapore residents can also participate in a way to stop buying or eating wild animals and body parts. Those wildlife are bears and rhinos.
  
The Singapore government recognizes four official languages: English, Malay, Mandarin and Tamil.


Since the 1990s, the government has been striving to promote Singapore as a center for art and culture, especially the art of drama, and transform the country into a 'gateway between the East and the West'. The culmination of these efforts was the construction of Esplanade, a center for performing arts upscale opened on 12 October 2002. In addition, the Singapore Arts Festival is an annual event organized by the National Arts Council. Up comedy scene is also growing, including open mic is held every week. Singapore held Genee International Ballet Competition 2009, a prestigious classical ballet competition organized by the Royal Academy of Dance, a dance international jury based in London, United Kingdom.
